The Women’s Motor Racing Associates Club (WMRAC), affectionately known in motor racing circles as the Doghouse Owners’ Club, was founded on 7th February 1962 by a group of Grand Prix drivers’ wives and girlfriends. Under the chairmanship of Sheila Van Damm, the committee comprised of Mrs. Colin Chapman, Mrs. John Cooper, Mrs. Gregor Grant, Mrs. Graham Hill and Mrs. John Webb: the acting secretary was Miss Peggy Sandberg (Mrs. Peggy Rowe).

The Classic Formula Ford 1600 Register is a club run by and for enthusiasts with both racing and associate (non-racing, social) members in the UK and abroad. It caters for Formula Ford cars built/raced before 1982 and holds a list of cars eligible to compete in the Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championship. It has a website containing race reports, items for sale and articles written by its members as well as arranging social events (mainly during race weekends).
